I'm looking for some information on either my Great Great Grandfather John McAvoy (MacEvoy, McEvoy & any other variation) who was born in Mauritius around the 1840's approx. He was supposed to have come to Australia in the mid 1800's (ie around the 60's) and married my Great Great Grandmother, Maria (or Mary) McDermott-Rowe (or just McDermott) who was born in South Africa, Cape of Good Hope and who also travelled out to Australia.
