Searching for proof of ancestry for Kenneth R. MacDonald b. c1800-1815 Inverness-shire, Scotland [possibly Moidart area], d after 1863, Glengarry Co., Ontario, Canada. Wife was Catherine MacDonell (or McDonell), b. Inverness-shire, Scotland, d. 20 Jan 1863, Glengarry Co. Ontario, Canada. Catherine’s parents were John McDonnell and Mary McDonald. Known Children born in this marriage: Isabel b. 1847 Scotland, d. Jun 1856, Glengarry Co. Ont. Canada; John Kenneth b. between 1840 and 1847 Scotland d.Brantford, Brant Co. Ont, Canada, [he m Rose Anna Short dau of Patrick Short and Margaret McCluskey]; Nancy b. 1849 Scotland or Canada d. bef. 1851 probably Lancaster, Glengarry Co., Ont., Canada; Nancy b. 1851 prob. MacDonald was probably the son of John Mor MacDonald, son of Donald “Tanner” MacDonald and Sally MacDonald [child of Jenbhain A’Torroghroithn]. Donald “Tanner” was a son of John MacDonald, who was a son of Angus MacDonald, who was a son of Neal MacDonald.
