I am an adoptee searching for my biological parents. I was born on Jayuary 10, 1969 at Oceanside Hospital in Carmel, California. I was adopted at birth by Frank and Linda Bryant of Salinas, California. Per a prior investigation conducted in 2005, I am almost certain that the original pre-adoption birth name placed on my birth certificate is Christopher K. Choi/Renfro. The hospital registrar for my birth date listed only two boys in maternity: Christopher K. Choi and Christopher K. Renfro. My source told me this was a common pre-adoption practice for the biological mother/parents to give the child a name for vital records and that name would be registered under both the biological mother's and biological father's surnames. My biological father is native Hawaiian and my biological mother was supposedly from the eastern continental US. It is believed her age to be somewhere around 19 at the time of my birth. I was the result of a post-graduation affair. My mother relocated to California during her pregnancy to avoid family scandal in light of a pending engagement. I cannot confirm nor deny any of this information other than what I know to be true regarding my current name, age and place of birth. All information regarding the suspected birth name(s) and information regarding my birth parents come from two sources: 1)non-specific background information given to my adopted mother by the adoption caseworker at the time of adoption, and 2)results from the aforementioned 2005 investigation.
