I am looking for the descendents of Dr William Blake Hindman who was the minister of our church, mt Washington Presbyterian Church in Farmington, PA- rom approximately 1945-1961- I'm not sure of the exact dates he served there- but I was young & he officiated at my wedding in 1960. I have in my possession a scrapbook that I found in my mother's belongings that has newspaper clippings & photos of the Hindman family & I believe other relatives- perhaps ancestors Rev James g. k. McClure D.D. on the first page of the book. also, a couple pages later, The earliest date was 1901, a newspaper photo of John Willis Baer. A couple of pages later, a newspaper photo of Dr Newell D Willis. There is a large part devoted to Dr. William M. Hindman Born March 20, 1860- Died February 23, 1926, who served at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Columbus,OH, married Elizabeth C. Blake, August 27, 1885. They had 5 sons. There are photos of the cornerstone of that church being laid July 27, 1913. It also has articles & information on 2 of his sons that were also pastors, Ralph Blake Hindman, installed as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Danville,IL on May 2, 1924. & William Blake Hindman, (my minister when I was a child) also was pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Aurora, IL. The latest date I can find on any entry is 1926. If anyone has information or knows of this family, please contact me. I would love to get this treasure of priceless memories & information back into their hands. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
