Query Text: |
I have a great grandfather named Russell Walkup who resided in Webster Groves, Mo for his adult life. He helped raise his 3 grandchildren. He was married to a wonderful woman. At any rate, he told my mother that he was a Native American, not in those words of course, but I am trying to figure out where this came from. I have seen contradictory info from what others in my family have found, but still can't put this together. Why would he tell her that if it were not true and my mother looks like she walked right off the reservation too. Anyway, I am still searching although, like I said some family members say that is ridiculous, but I do not believe that. Thank you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
