My German ancestor came to the US on the Ship Edinburgh, James Russell, Master and landed at Philadelphia, PA on 16 September 1751. He made his way to Northampton County and settled near Petersville. I'm trying to find out where in Germany he came from and when he got married. He married Catherine Magdalena Kunz (Kuntz). I believe he lived for a time in Philadelphia and may have been married there in one of the German community's churches. Further info would be appreciated.
