Looking for direct descendants of Joseph Badger and William Badger who were born in Boston and came to Charleston, South Carolina in Dec 1766 after the death of their father, Joseph Badger, the Boston portrait artist. Known children of the Joseph who came to Charleston are Joseph, James, and Rhoda (named after her mother Rhoda Cox). Other relations in Charleston were Daniel and Jonathan Badger. Joseph and William opened a color shop and also did glazing. Joseph's son James married Elizabeth Swint.
