I am looking for my birth parents. My name is Katie (Lefevere) Van Tassel. My adoptive parents names were Raymond and Darelene Lefevere. The following information I recieved from the Childrens Home Society in CA. Your birth mother was 19 years of age at the time of your birth. She was of Italian, German, and Irish descent. She was five feet, 5 inches tall and weighed 115 pounds. She had brown hair, blue eyes, and a fair complexion. She had a small bone structure and high cheekbones. The record indicates your birth mother had the measles, chickenpox, and strep throat during childhood. The record further indicates your birth mother was in good health. Your maternal grandfather was 54 years of age at the time of your birth, and was of Irish and German descent. He was five feet, 7 inches tall and weighed 175 pounds. He had black hair, blue eyes, and a fair complexion. The record indicates this relative wore reading glasses, and had high blood pressure, and took Valium for a heart condition developed at age 52 years, which the doctor “did not consider serious.” Your maternal grandmother was of Italian descent.
