My father came to New Zealand in about 1919/1920. I do not know if he came alone. He was about 14 years of age. He spent 6½ years in Tauranga New Zealand and then joined the Salvation Army. I have a birth certificate of George Henry Baker whose father was Thomas a Cartage Contractors Carman, and his mother was Esther Catherine Hadley.
