Query Text: |
My grandmother, Daisy Roberta Farnum (of St. John Parrish area, Barbados) born abt. March 12, 1894, and listed her parents as a Norman L. (also as William) Farnum (English) and a Jane King (West Indies). I cannot locate anything on them in any name format, or relatives. Daisy may have been adopted and/or her parents may not have married. Barbados Archives has found no birth record on Daisy. Daisy was well acquainted with an Eloise Gertrude Hancock, born 1889 (nee Cook-Marshall)in Colleton and called her "Sis". Both immigrated to the US abt. 1910 & 1913 respectively. There seems to be a relation to the Alleyne's somehow also. In 1917, Daisy listed her father as William in Bridgetown on a passenger voyage she made from Cristobal. There are 3 William Farnum's that died and were buried in Westbury Cemetery, but I cannot gather any more info. Can anyone help, or is anyone related? I have attached a photo of Daisy's suspected father if anyone can positively identify. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
