 My grandfather, Chriss Johnson, was born in Norway, May 4, 1871. He came to the U.S. in 1875, with his mother. They settled in the N. Dakota-Montana area. He was buried in Wolf Point, Montana on November 6, 1924. He was a mason by trade and had 3 daughters by Ella Roderdean before she passed away in 1898. Mrs. Joe Hicks, Lawton N.D. and Mrs A.E. Hicks, of Lawton, N.D. and Mrs William Crofoot of Big Sandy, Montana. He married Ethel Griggs in 1907. (my grandmother). Does anybody know, where in Norway, Chriss Johnson was born? Or who his parents were or from?
