I am searching for the parents of Robert Winters. According to the family bible, he was born in Kirlrea, Armagh, Ireland in 1798. He married Isabella Gilfillan in Tollcross, Lanark, Scotland and in the 1840 census, his mother, Margaret McCann was living with him in Scotland. A family member told me that tradition has it that our Winters originally came from Fife and the name was Vinters. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
