Searching for the parents and first family of William Gordon born 6 Aug 1822, death certificate says, Canada, Census says New York, Mothers name was Ellen Votten/Volten, father unknown Gordon It was said that his father died of suicide in 1827, was in the Royal Navy in one of the Great Lakes? Also, might have been from County Cork, Ireland. Have been searching for for 23 years and not having any luck. Are there any cousins out there that could help?
