I am searching for my brother whose birth name was Jeremy Shawn Batson, who was born in 1976, in Charleston, Mo. or Sikeston, Mo. His name may have been changed to Samuel Dijon (so I heard from a rumor)and someone said he lived in Covington, Kentucky. I was adopted by my biological mother's sister and her husband. I lived with my adopted family since I was four months old. I visited Jeremy when I was 8 years old at a foster home in East Prairie, Mo., where he lived with Jane and Teddy Bennett. I would love to find my brother because our biological mother is very ill with COPD, a heart condition and she is on kidney dialysis. I would like for him to have a chance to meet this woman if he wishes. She could not take care of us because she is schizophrenic. It's not that she didn't love or want us. I see her as often as I can now while I live with my husband, Steve Whitworth, in Glen Carbon, Ill., and I saw our biological mom, Carol Ann Batson, from the time I was small, all my life because my adopted mother took me to see her all of the time. Our biological mother lives in Matthews, Mo., at Close to Home rest home. It used to be called Sells Rest Home. She currently is in Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. I am a journalist at The Telegraph in Alton, Ill., near where I live. My byline for my newspaper is Jill Moon, but I was born a Batson, changed to Smith when I was adopted prior to my first marriage. My legal last name is Whitworth but I use Moon at work because that's what I started out using when I write and my work is published.
