Query Text:

 I am exploring the origins of Nancy Pope who appears in the 1790 census of Georgetown, SC. I suspect that she was born in old Sampson County, NC but have not been able to prove it. I believe her son Richard J. Pope to be the progenitor of all Popes in the Pee Dee region of SC. Am I right? Where did they come from and are there other families that know of her?
