I am looking for info. on who the father was of Henry Clay aka Clinton Yarbrough who appears as an 11 yr. old boy on the 1850 Washington Co.,Tn. census with the Shem Yarbrough family. Shem Yarbrough who came to Tn. from Mecklenburg, NC.I believe Shem and wife Nellie (Elizabeth)were Henry aka Clinton's g-parents as they were in their mid 70's at that time. I have followed Henry C. aka Clinton Yarbrough, Yarber thru. Tn. & 2 M: & have names of all 9 children of the 2 M: but cannot find out who his father was.He was my gg-grandfather.
