Catherine McMahon came from Clare,Ireland to USA in 1904 on the ship Umbria. Her parents were Timothy McMahon and Mary O'Connor. On 13 April 1907 in Detroit,MI she married Patrick Griffin. He came to the USA in 1905 on the ship Etruria from Clare,Ireland. His parents were John Griffin and Ellen Leary. Patrick and Catherine lived in Detroit until late 1920's when they moved to Sanilac,MI where Patrick farmed. There children were: John Joseph (1909-1974 died Dearborn,MI), Mary Agnes (1910-2001 died Grand Rapids,MI married James Thaar),Thomas (1913-?),Gerald (1915-?),Timothy Edward (1916-1978 died Pinellas,FL married Betty Nadine Salee) and Margarete (1920-?).Catherine McMahon Griffin is the niece of my great grandmother Bridget McMahon Burke.
