I am searching for my birth mother/birth father. I was born in Los Angeles, CA at Hollywood Presbyerian Hospital on 1/28/62 and adopted through LA County. Acc. to my non-ID, my maternal grandmother was deceased at age 61, had a college education, and was a writer for radio. My maternal grandfather died at age 38 of an alcohol-related illness. My mother was only three at the time My birthmother was in college studying drama. She did not tell anyone in her family about the pregnancy nor did she discuss the pregnancy with my birthfather. My birthmother planned to return to college after I was born to pursue a career in drama. At the time of her father's death, she and her siblings were placed in institutions (boarding schools. A half-sister (a housewife at the time of my adoption) took the place of her mother. Two brothers (of my birthmother) are also mentioned in the non-ID; one was a writer, the other a geologist. My birthfather was 25 at the time I was born. He had a master's degree in engineering and was employed as an engineer. My birthmother was the youngest of her siblings.
