Am looking for info on the Dedman family of Sussex & Surrey (Rodmell, Ockley, Lewes, Brighton) My ggg-grandfather was James Dedman (b Witley, Surrey 1831)married Jane Barber in Hove Sussex before emigrating to Australia in 1850's. I have my gggg-grandfather as Thomas Dedman, married Hester Eager, and his father Richard Dedman who married Sarah Barrow (late 1700's). Wondering how the Dedmans came to Sussex, or are they related to the Dedmans of Essex ? ? Happy to exchange all info I have, if you are a descendant of Jane Barber I have this line back to the Norman days. PEACE Drew Dedman
