Query Text: |
My great-grandmother Mary Fee was born on August 21st, 1882 in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. She had two younger siblings, Catherine Julia (b. July 26, 1885) and Francis (b. March 3rd, 1888). Mary, Catherine and Francis were baptized in St. Josephs' R.C. Church in Carrickmacross. Their parents were John Fee and Rose Finnegan. On Mary's baptismal her godparents are Michael Martin and Rose Fee. On Catherine's baptismal her godparents are Thomas Nolan and Josephine Campbell. On Francis' baptismal his godparents were James Finnegan and Catherine Finnegan. Their parents John Fee and Rose Finnegan were married July 6th, 1878 in St. Joseph's. The witnesses of their marriage were Thomas Warren or Marron and Mony Byrne. I know that they lived on Horse Hill a.k.a. St. McCartan Villas in Carrickmacross. The only information I have on either of Mary's siblings is that her sister Catherine lived in the Convent of St. Louis. My great-grandmother came to the United States around 1912. When she first came here she worked in Manhattan as a nurse in a hospital for women. She lived there also, because a lot of the immigrants had nowhere else to live. She later had four children, William, John, Rosemary and Francis. Francis is my grandfather. His siblings have all passed, but he is still alive. That's all I have. If you have any information on any of the above mentioned persons that would help me in my search, please email me, my email address is: colleen.donohue@lazard.com. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
