Searching for a Phebe Barber b. 16 Nov 1806 most likely either MA or CT - NOT the Phebe Barber b. 09 Jan 1801 (she died Mar 1811) to Issachar and Caroline Baker Barber in Harwinton, Litchfield Co. CT. "My" Phebe supposedly married 05 Aug 1827 in Granville, Hampden Co. MA my great-great-grandfather Sylvanus Twist of Winsted, Litchfield Co. CT (supposedly b. 1799 New York State[?])- marriageintentions dated 22 July 1827, Granville - No record of a second Phebe b. to above Barber family or any other Harwinton family according to town records of Harwinton to 1850. Phebe's 1806 birthdate comes from her gravestone; she is buried in Hamilton, Caldwell Co. MO with a married daughter and her family (Stoller), whom she was either visiting or living with at the time of her death on 16 July 1886. (It is "born out" by age as given in several census records.) Sylvanus had died 25 years earlier in Wisconsin, where he had moved the family about 1855.
