I am searching for information on Matthew Hogan and Ellen Ryan who moved to Verplanck, NY around 1849 from Tipperary, Ireland. They were married in 1849 or 1850. Matthew & Ellen had 7 seven, 4 of which died at early ages. The remaining children were James, Margaret, Mary and Ella. Ellen moved with her children in 1864 to Illinois. Matthew dropped off the census. I suspect he died in the Civil War around April 1862. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
