I would like to see if my birth mother is still alive. I was born in Delaware County, PA on May 6, 1973. She was only 15 when I was born.I was born in the 23 or 24th week of pregnancy. She would not reveal who my father was. I was adopted in a closed adoption when I was about 7 months old even though I had a lot of medical problems. My dad knew what my birth mother's last name was because of some medicine that was given to them for me that did not get the name blacked out and my mom said that there was only one family in the area with that last name: Heffernan. He heard a news story a few years later that involved a family by that name. I think it may have been a bad fire or something like that. I'm not sure because he passed away and I didn't find out about it until after he passed. I'm getting information from other people in the family. After looking at some of the paperwork recently, I was able to make out my mother's first name Theresa. All of the paperwork also referred to me as "Cindy".
