Searching for William Hogg. William Hogg married Catherine Bryson at East Canongate, Scotland in the fall 1815. They had a son who by all reports was also named William. He was born in 1826 or 1828 and he migrated from Scotland to Perth CO. Canada where he married Margaret Minto Thomson, also of Scotland. William and Margaret moved south to the United States. They appear on a U.S. census report in 1860, living in Johnson Township, Iowa. Additional info: Margaret Thomson is the daughter of Gavin Thomson and Jane Minto.
