Adoptee ISO info on Birth Mother: Born in the summer of 1925 in a Mid-western state (possibly Ohio). Of Irish & Cherokke Indian decent. Her parents died when she was young and she was raised by her maternal grandmother on a farm near a big city somewhere in Ohio. EVANS was a family name and may have been her grandmothers last name. My BM name was EDNA. She had long dark wavy hair, hazel eyes with very long eyelashes and a very good posture - as I was told & info from Non-ID. Edna only had a 7th or 8th grade education. She was living in Miami, FL from 1942 to 1947 and worked as a bar maid, waitress, elevator operator, babysitter and housekeeper. Her best friends name was Glory Jean. My name is Gloria Jean and I was born Nov 1945 in Miami, Fl. Edna was not married at the time of my birth - living common law. Edna was dating Noland M Ebanks (I have all of the information on him). The Non-id info stated that EDNA did not care much for sport. She did like to read and sew. She was of the Baptist faith. Non-ID info also stated that she got married shortly after giving me for adoption. Aparently she did not want to give me up but could not ask her new husband to support a child she had out of wedlock. My AM said she and her new husband moved back to her birthplace after I was adopted. Apparently this marriage did not work out. She had another child, a boy. Called my AM and asked if she could adopt him also. Edna did not have the means to support herself and children too. Does anyone out there know anything about this woman?
