Looking for information on the parents or line of Jonathan W. REDDICK, b January of 1809 in Fairfax County, VA. Served in the military 1829-42, 1846-48. Lived and married first in IL 1842-48, md Sarah Gould KENDRICK 1844. Then came to CA (with Fremont 1845 expedition) and returned with his family by 1849 and farmed 150 acres in Santa Clara County until 1864. A son, Franklin Otis Reddick, was born Dec 25,1851 in San Jose. Resided in Santa Barbara County 1864 until widowed in 1873 or 74, then Los Angeles County with new wife, Sarah Barwell GAGE Elston and raised a family of 5 children until his death in 1897.
