Query Text: |
I am looking for information on a Mace family who lived in St. Louis, MO at least until 1882. Samuel Mace, the father passed away in 1880, leaving his wife Mary with 5 children. Samuel was born about 1871, no one knows what happened to him and I can't find him on any census records after 1880. The girls are Louise (married a Stroker, have info about her), Carrie (married an Albrecht, I have info about her also), Hulda died in 1906 and never married, and Emilie was born in 1878, she married but we are not really sure as to the spelling of the name. I would also like to find who Samuel's parents are. From what we have been told Samuel was born to English parents in Pittsburgh and returned to England when he was an infant. He returned to the U.S. as a young man coming to St. Louis. He worked as a cooper (barrel maker). Mary Mace married again to John Schwing, but she was not in the St. Louis area as far as I can tell when she met him. Any info would be appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
