Alonzo Louis Baker born October 22, 1838 in Vermont or New York, died Feb. 27, 1897 Kendall County Illinois. Married Lydia Ann Ives Dec. 24 1854 &/or 1856 in Kendall County, both show up on official records. Lydia died Sept ll, 1870 in Iowa. He supposedly left his children: Adelia Ann Baker, Emma J. Baker, Warren J. Baker & William Henry Baker with his inlaws after Lydia's death never to be heard from again(?) I have traced him back to Kendall County IL where there are numerous marriages of Alonzo Baker that come after Lydia's death. These may be him, a cousin, nephew, child, who knows? I am looking for any decendents of Alonzo Baker from any marriages. I would like to find documentation as to information that ties him in. Adelia Ann Baker was my greatgrandmother married to James Barton Cornell. I have found a number of Alonzo Bakers who served in the Civil War. I will need to check further into the records to see if family members are listed anyplace. I do not know who his parents were, if he had siblings or anything further.
