I am searching for information about my great great grandfather David Woods and his wife, Mary Ritchie. A son, David (7 April 1818 - 24 February 1877) married Leah Eckels (25 June 1820 - 15 June 1909; born in Allegheny County, PA; daughter of Nathaniel and Anna Eckels)on 24 September 1842 in Pittsburgh, PA. David and Leah established their first home in Allegheny County but moved to Xenia, Greene County, Ohio by 1846. Family tradition says Mary Ritchie may have been an indentured servant. Any information about David Woods and Mary Ritchie would be appreciated. Their grandson through whom my line comes was David Lawrence Woods (1850- 1921) of Ohio and Indiana. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
