James Richard KERWICK was born in Co. Kilkenny, IE, on 10 May 1842. (Need info on his family of origin). He came to St. Helens, Lancashire, Eng., before 1869. There he married Annie Maria MCGLUE, born abt. 1850 in Wavertree, Lancashire, to James Neville and Frances A. GAMMAGE MCGLUE, on 7 Mar 1869 at St. Mary's Lowe House. Annie had two brothers, James Neville born in 1847 and Charles Neville born in 1852, both in Wavertree. James and Annie had six children: Richard (1870-1874); James Christopher (1872-1874); Joseph Richard (1876-1917 in Rochester, NY); James William (1878-1948 in Schenectady, NY); Thomas Charles (1882-1882); Margaret Alice (1884-1942 in Buffalo, NY). Charles Neville MCGLUE married Sarah Jane FRIAR (1851-1884) and they had eight children: Jane Friar (1870-1906) who married Joseph Henry HUGHES (1869-1908); William Albert (1872-1919) who married Louisa NAYLOR (1871-1900); Charles James (1874-1947) who married Mary Ann O'DONNELL (1877-1950); Walter Joseph (1876-1911) who married Elizabeth MATHER; Annie (1879-1959) who married Arthur John PERRY (1880-1916); Ada (1881-1936) who married Richard Henry PIE (1881-1939); Sarah Alice (1883-?) who married Peter BELLARD; and James Joseph (1884-?) who married Gertrude MCKENNA. Any info including contacts with "Cousins MGLUE" and the KERWICK line in Kilkenny would be greatly appreciated. James Neville and Frances GAMMAGE MCGLUE are my gr-gr-grandparents and James and Annie MCGLUE KERWICK are my gr-grandparents; Annie KERWICK and Joseph Richard KERWICK/KERWIN and Marguerite Agnes MORAN of Montrose, PA, daughter of Patrick and Margaret KANE MORAN, are my fraternal grandparents.
