My Grandmother was born between 1893 and 1896 either in VA or PA. She was put in the Philadelphia Catholic orphanage system. Her name was Mary Elizabeth McCarty. Her parents were Edward and Elizabeth Rountree McCarty. Her mother died when she was very young and her father could no longer support her.
