I am trying to trace my paternal grandfathers family history. His name was John Omar Akins, born on Sept 8 1898 and I have been told perhaps in Oklahoma. His father died while he was young and his mother came to Illinois and remarried a Mr. Weir. I am unable to find any information about his parents and roots. I have found evidence of Akins in Cleveland and Payne counties in Oklahoma, but do not know if they are related. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
