Researhing the wife of John Allen - on 1870 Federal census the family lived in Butler county -Buffalo township - wife Elizabeth - whose maiden name is spelled Adkein which may be spelled incorrectly - children on the 1870 census are: Laura, Margaret, Sarah, Ida, John, James, and Annie. John was born in Pa in 1835 and Elizabeth was born in Pa in 1839. They has a P O Box in Saxonburg, Pa.
