Since he deserted his family in 1887, the whereabouts of my great grandfather, Charles Lamb, has remained a mystery. He was born in Mississippi in 1854. In 1878, he married Catherine Palestine Adams in Hood County, TX and lived there until he walked off in 1887. They had 4 children, William, Mary, John & Effie. I do not know his parents' names. I would love to solve the mystery of his birth and death. Also, I do not know who his daughter, Mary, married. She was in a wheelchair in her adult life and lived somewhere in Texas with her husband and children. She was a tall redheaded woman.
