Searching info about Joseph Edward Bastien aka "Joe" aka Joe Barton. Born 13 Aug 1876, or possibly Aug 1877, or 1884 in Canada. Father Jean-Baptiste Bastien and mother Sophie Paquin were born in Canada and moved to Chicopee, Massachusetts. Immigrated to US in 1878 or 1879. Joe's siblings, born in Canada, who all moved to Chicoppe, Massachusetts were Eva Marie Bastien b. 1866, who married Adelard Joseph Racine Mary Bastien b. 1868, who married Wilfred Biron Jean Baptiste (aka "John") Bastien b. 1879 who married Emarantine Racine Leona Eleanor Bastien b. 1882 who married Henry Louis Corbin Alice Bastien b. 1888 Joseph Bastien married Margaret Idella Kellman aka "Della" in Rochester, NY on 17 Jan 1916. Occupations: trimmer in a paper mill, paper cutter, machinist in a box factory. Known to have lived in Canada, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, in New Jersey, Rochester, NY and Philadelphia but may have lived elsewhere. Unknown date or place of death. Joseph Bastien and Margaret Kellman had 3 children: Elizabeth Bastien, born 1920 in New Jersey who lived mostly in Rochester, NY John ("Jack") Bastien, born 1917 in Rochester, NY where he remained. Roy Bastien, born 1916 in Rochester. Also lived elsewhere in NY and CT. Joseph Bastien left his wife in Rochester, NY where she remained for life, in the early 1920's, looked for work in paper box companies in Philadelphia, and possibly in NY or NJ.
