I am looking for any Vanderwarker family in Michigan, New York, or Minnesota, past and present. Specifically in Michigan info on George Vanderwarker, Sr. and his son George Vanderwarker, Jr. I believe that George, Sr. may have been born in New York state. They both moved to Minnesota in the late 1800's near Austin. Believe that both George Vanderwarkers may have served with the Union Army from Michigan in the Civil War. These would be my great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. Trying to fill in the previous generations. George Vanderwarker, Jr. may have been married to Elizabeth Bullis in Minnesota. It is also possible that he, George Vanderwarker, may have been a railroad employee in up-state Minnesota. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
