I am researching the surname Auger. I believe my ancestor came from Canada. The earliest name I can find is Joseph Auger, s/o Joseph Auger and Magdalen Turpin. Joseph was from Islas Nigras (Illinois). His father was probably a fur trader. I would like to know who Joseph's parents were. Any siblings? Any info on any Auger's who migrated from Canada to the US would be appreciated.
