It is my great-uncle Karl (or Carl) Hansen. He was born 1893 in Moenkebuell (near Langenhorn) in northern Germany. According to hearsay, he immigrated to the USA in 1927. He was a baker and had a bakery in Ann Arbor. He married an American woman and had a daughter named Sharon. She became a flight attendant in the 1950’s, and would be in her 60s now. After retirement he and his wife moved to Florida, where he died around 1982. Most of his relatives here in Germany are dead, and after his death, all contacts died off with his wife and children. Is there a possibility to find out where and how long he had his bakery in Ann Arbor? And when and to which town he moved in Florida? And – that would be the greatest info – when he died, was there an obituary notice in a news paper, mentioning the names of the surviving dependants? Many thanks and best regards, Wolfgang Thomsen | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
