Query Text:

Birth daughter born 10/29/1967 in Charlotte, NC. She weighed a little over 6 pounds, had olive complexion, brown eyes, and dark hair. She stayed in the hospital a little longer than usual with "Yellow Jaundice". While she was in foster care, she was called "Stella". She was adopted by a couple that the "Adoptive Father" was in a professional occupation. In 2002, I contacted a Social Service Worker with the Mecklenburg County Dept. of SS (they handled the adoption) with some medical information. I thought that if she was given that information, she would know I was looking for her. The Social Worker wrote me and said the "adopted father" told her my daughter was doing well and had a son that 1 1/2 years old (he would be about 7 years old now). The Social Worker told me that my daughter was very easy to find (she sent the information I gave her to my my daughter), which led me to believe that the adoptive parents still lived in the same place and had the same telephone number. I do not want to disrupt her life in any way. I just want to know if she had a good life. I am not going to lie. I want to see what she looks like, if she looks like her younger sister. Her younger sister, Amanda, is 30 years old, divorced (and engaged) has 2 boys and is expecting her 3rd. She is a nursing student. Her younger brother, Richard, is married and has a beautiful blond hair, blue eyed little girl named Kaleigh Marie Smith. He is in management at Wal-Mart. Mandy had olive complexion, dark hair, and brown eyes. Richard has dark blond hair (turns light out in sun), and blue eyes. Both my children know about their sister. I lived in Charlotte with my 2 older sisters. At first they thought adoption was the best thing, but they changed their minds and told me that they would help me. I walked a mile and a half from the office where I worked to Mecklenburg County DSS, but I was 3 days too late. I feel sure, she knows that I am looking for her. I have registered all my information on several web sites. If you are my daughter, I love you and regret every day that I relinquished you for adoption. If anyone knows of a female that was born 10/29/1967 and is adopted, please let her know about this website. If she ever wants to contact me, I will be here and will welcome any kind of relationship, but I will respect her wishes. I would be satified with a picture. I hope that is not asking to much.
