Query Text: |
Looking for any original document showing Matthew Galloway b. abt. 1745 Ireland, d. 1822 Oglethorpe County Georgia was a Revolutionary War soldier. Records list him as receiving lottery land in 1802 in Oglethorpe Co. Georgia but no orginal document showing that he was actually a Revolutionary War soldier. DAR has "CLOSED The Line" based on Irene Dabney Gallaway's book 1908 she notes she can not find anything positive to show he was a Rev. War soldier so claims Matthew might have been a Tory | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
