Am looking for the mother and father of William F. Whiting and Nathan Whiting possibly from the New England area of New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Maryland. Father could be a Nathaniel Whiting and Mother Anna Crouse Whiting Myers. They were supposed to be orphaned and came to Putnam county, Ohio with the Myers families and another orphan named David Spitznaugle(now Spitnale) sometime in the early 1800's. They settled in a place called Franconia in Putnam County, Ohio. I believe William and Nathan also had a sister who came with them. William could have been born in 1825, according to lore in Monmouth, New Jersey. William married a Ruth Matson. He died in late 1861 in Paulding county. Where is he buried? From court records he died in debt and his estate was sold. Ruth re-married I believe at least twice. Who are the Whitings? HELP! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
