I am searching for the father of James Frank Spurling, George Washington Spurling, and Jane Spurling. Birthyears range from 1833-1845. The widow, Mrs. Amelia Spurling married a Mr. Hooper in October of 1847. The story in the family is that Mr. Spurling was a deputy in Hot Springs area, and was killed "down by the river" breaking up a fight.
