I have traced my earliest ancestor, William Hingle, born 1800, who married Sarah?. He died 1847 in Hobart Tasmania. One of his sons, George Hingle married an Emily Lacey around 1887. I am an amateur at searching and dont know where to turn next to find out more. I am looking for information dating back further than this. (pre-1800). I have scottish heritage from the Thain and the Stuart clans but this was just passed down from my grandfather so I don't know about dates. I beleive that my ancestors emigrated from England or possibly Scotland to settle in Hobart Tasmania. Any clues or help would be greatly appreciated.
