CONNOR : TERRY | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Query Text: |
My maternal GGG Grandfather was George Washington Terry from the Anderson Township of Williamsburg County, SC. He was born around 1801 and his wife's name was Sarah (Connor?), and his son was George Washington Terry (Jr.),who was born around 1841 and married to Nancy (L.)? They had four sons and 1 daughter in the 1880 census in Williamsburg County, SC. (Their children were William, George, Benjamin, Agnes E., and Lemuel P. Terry, my G Grandfather. I understand that George Washington Terry, Jr. was in the Confederate Army. Does anyone have any information about this line of Terry's going back toward the Colonial period of SC? Also, did the Terry's in this line migrate from NC or VA to SC, or were they originally from the lowcountry in the Georgetown and Williamsburg County areas? Thank you for your assistance. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
