?GATES? : PHILLIP CLAYTON

Query Text:

I am looking for my birth parents, siblings, and/or any of my birth family. I was born Phillip Clayton (last name unknown) on February 12, 1966, but adopted on April 9, 1971 as Phillip Joseph. I know that my birth mother was 24 at the time of my birth (dark brown hair, blue eyes, 117 pounds, 5'3", quit school in the 11th grade to marry my father, which ended in divorce, baptist). She was separated from my father, age 26 (blonde hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, 5'9", stocky build, education unknown, worked in a cotton mill, protestant). My birth mother was 28 when I went up for adoption. I stayed in foster care for about a year before I was adopted in April of '71. She worked as a waitress, restaurant manager, and clerk. Also at the time of my birth, I had two older siblings, a brother (7 yrs old, blonde hair, blue eyes, fair omplexion) and a sister (6 yrs old, blonde hair, blue eyes, fair complexion). My mother also had another son when I was 2 years of age (brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion), he was also put up for adoption. My mother had 5 siblings, a sister and four brothers. At the time I went up for adoption in 1970, their ages were 37(sister), 35, 32, 35, and the youngest brother died at the age of 15 from pnemonia. They all had brown hair and blue eyes with fair complexion. None of my birth mother's siblings had an education past the 10th grade. My maternal grandmother (55, in 1970, auburn hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, 135 pounds, 5'5", 9th grade education, worked at a hoisery mill) raised my two older siblings, while my younger brother and I were put up for adoption because our birth mother continuously left us with friends and family while she worked. It became later and less often that she would pick us up, until she finally never came back to get us. A Juvenille Court Judge terminated my birth parents rights on June 11, 1970. If you have any information, please respond to this posting.
