Looking for information on a Joseph Morris, dob about 1813 OH. In 1850 living in Paris, Lamar Co., TX with a "Lieta" Morris(wife), Elijah, Sarah Joseph & Benjamin Franklin Morris(children). Know they came to San Luis Obispo(San Simeon, Cambria)about 1853, with fouth child, Joseph G. Morris Jr. Census said Joseph Sr. from OH and Lieta OH. Children born in TX. Know Joseph Sr. living with Benjamin 1880(census)but after Benjamin dies 1884 in SLO, cannot locate Joseph Sr. Also cannot locate mother. Think her real name was Electa Stowell (Morris)(OH). Think she divorced in 1856-57 from Joseph Sr. and married John C. Becknell in Mariposa Co. On 1870 census of Mariposa Co., find John C. Becknell(MO) with wife, Electa Becknell(OH), son John K. Becknell(12) and a girl in family, Bedora Morris(14), both born in CA. Cannot locate Electa Becknell or Bedora Morris either.
