My great-grandfather was name Sherman Deberry. He was born in 1867 and died in 1957. He resided in Richmond County North Carolina and was married to Mary with several children: Regather, Hattie, Elizabeth, Olen, James, etc. I was told that he came from Portgual, white complexion with blue eyes. I also was told that my great-grandmother Mary was native American Indian (Cherokee).
