Hello, I am trying to locate the decendants of Jacob K. Moultrie and Hagar Ann Manigault (maiden name). They were my paternal g-g-grandparents. Their daughter Emma Moultrie was my g-grandmother. The information I gathered is from the 1880 Census of St. Andrews Township Charleston South Carolina. The following is listed as follows; Jacob K. Moultrie- Head of Household age; 38 Hagar Ann Moultrie - Wife age; 29 Nelly - D- age 12 Catherine - D- age 8 Rosa - D-age 6 Jacob Jr. son - age 1yr I gathered from the birth and death certificate of Emma Moultrie that she was not born when the census was taken. However, the name of the parents on the birth and death certificates match the names of the parents in the census. Emma Moultrie married Isiah Mitchell in Charleston (I'm not sure) and had several children. They moved to New York City around 1910 and Emma lived in Harlem for the rest of her life. However, the only child that I know of is my grandmother, Ethel Mitchell-Yard. If there are any decendants of Jacob K. Moultrie and Hagar Ann Manigault, please E-mail me at vetti90@hotmail.com. I have information that I can share at a family reunion. I know the Moultries and Manigault families are huge in the Charleston S.C. areas but I am sure there are many who are connected to Jacob and Hagar Ann.
