SMITH, Robert(no middle name known)b. 11 Jan 1815 in Lincoln County, NC, d. 26 Nov 1880(buried at Goshen Presb. Old Cemetery-N.Belmont), married Wilmouth "Willie" Fite on 25 Oct 1836 in Lincoln County, NC. Wilmouth b. 1820 in Lincoln Co, NC, d. 13 Feb 1897 in Mecklenburg Co, NC(Buried Moores Chapel Church). Have run upon stone wall with Robert! Can not find a birth certificate or records of any type on his parents. Would appreciate any help of any type regarding Robert Smith as stated above, particularly if parents are known and more about them if possible! I might need to note that have found two Robert Smith's of approximately same birth year, but only one showing being married to Wilmouth Fite. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
