11/10/08 - Thank you everyone who sent me emails to my posts. It's been one week since I've had contact with my siblings. All 4 are alive and well and so is my b'mom. Hopefully we will all meet fact to face very soon. Everyone - DONT give up hope - keep searching for your loved ones. I had no idea what I would find and I've been blessed beyond measure. So much more than I ever thought possible. I hope you all find a wonderful family like I have! 8/10/08 Update I have the names of my birth mom and 1/2 siblings. Looking for any of the following: Betty Lou Cook Phillips, born in IN, May 1927 Divorced at the time of my birth from Wilmer K. Phillips. They were married Mar 1946 in IN, divorced Sept. 1958 in San Diego, CA 1/2 siblings: Steven Phillips, born in IN, Nov 1946 Donna Phillips, born in CA, Feb 1954 Jerry Phillips, born in CA, Dec 1956 Garry Phillips, born in CA, Dec 1956 Betty's parents were Jesse & Anna Cook from Indiana born Dec. 1885 and Oct. 1886. Betty's siblings are Florence, Jan 1908, Genevieve, Feb 1910 & Alice, Sept. 1921 all from Indiana. I am searching for my birth parents and/or siblings. I was born at Doctor's Hospital in San Diego on July 15, 1961. Adoption papers show my name as Rebecca Ann Phillips. When I was adopted my name became Patricia Gail Standley. My birth mother had red hair, brown eyes, 5'4" and I think around 125 lbs. My birth father was 6' something, black hair and blue eyes. All I know of the adoption is my family went somewhere (orphanage?) and requested a red haired little girl. They tried to give them a red haired boy, but they insisted and they got me. I believe the adoption was in Oct of 1961. I have a brother who was adopted from different birth parents and was 4 years old when I was adopted into the family.
